The Present Day

Though very different from its original purpose, the present day Albert Dock continues to be a bustling hub of activity.

The Dock is open seven days a week from 10am and around five million people visit each year, making it the most-visited Free UK attraction outside London.

On site you will find a variety of independent shops and restaurants covering cuisines from all around the world.

There are an abundance of bars and cafés, two hotels and some of the city’s best museums and galleries. Tate Liverpool, Beatles Story, Merseyside Maritime Museum and the International Slavery Museum bring millions of people to the Dock every year.

Albert Dock is also home to more than 30 offices, including Little Woods t/a Yodel in Atlantic Pavilion with around 200 staff and HH in Edward Pavilion with 350 staff including sub-tenants.

There are 115 luxury apartments in The Colonnades pavilion, including penthouses with conservatories and rooftop patios. The views are spectacular; looking out across the Mersey to the west, and overlooking the dock basin and city centre to the east.

The place to play, to see, to eat, drink and stay…

There’s something for everyone at Albert Dock, from a family fun day or day and night out, to a short break.

Two on-site hotels – Holiday Inn Express and the Premier Inn – offer some of the most dramatic views in the city, overlooking the Dock’s tranquil waters and the Liverpool’s Pier Head.

If you’re not planning on staying the night, the view from the Echo Wheel, which sits, between Albert Dock and the Arena and Convention Centre (ACC) Liverpool, is simply dazzling.

The Dock has on-site parking, including eight disabled spaces. There is also 24-hour parking available at the ACC Liverpool and Liverpool One multi-storey car parks.
